The truncation : $
FARM$ will retrieve terms beginning with farm, e.g. FARMLAND, FARMING SYSTEMS, FARM INPUTS, etc... |

The boolean operator "or" : +
APPLE + PEAR will retrieve references containing at least one of the two terms in the indexed fields. |
